Pete's Stop Bulk Trade-In Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a Bulk Trade-In request through the Pete's Stop website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Pete's Stop reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
2. Quote Estimates
The Bulk Calculator provides an estimated value based on the quantities and categories entered by the customer.
All quotes, estimated values, postage contributions and total payments displayed by the calculator are estimates only and are subject to verification upon receipt and inspection of the cards.
Pete's Stop reserves the right to adjust any valuation where:
- Quantities received differ from those submitted.
- Cards are incorrectly categorised.
- Cards do not meet the required condition standards.
- Cards are not eligible under our current buying rates.
- Cards are found to be counterfeit, altered or otherwise unsuitable for purchase.
3. Confirmation Required Before Sending
Customers must submit the Bulk Trade-In form and wait for a confirmation email before sending any cards.
The confirmation email will contain:
- Confirmation of the submission
- Shipping instructions
- Packaging requirements
- Payment information
Please do not send cards until you have received a confirmation email from Pete's Stop.
Pete's Stop reserves the right to refuse unsolicited submissions.
4. Accepted Cards
We currently accept:
- English-language Pokémon cards only
- Near Mint (NM) and Mint condition cards
- Authentic Pokémon Trading Card Game products
We do not accept:
- Japanese or other foreign language cards
- Damaged cards
- Creased cards
- Water-damaged cards
- Counterfeit cards
- Altered cards
- Cards with excessive wear
Cards that do not meet our standards may be excluded from the final valuation or returned at the customer's expense.
5. Sorting Requirements
Cards must be accurately sorted into the appropriate categories before being submitted.
Pete's Stop reserves the right to adjust valuations where cards have been incorrectly classified.
For larger submissions, cards should be bundled and organised to assist with processing.
Failure to sort cards correctly may result in processing delays.
6. Packaging & Shipping
Customers are responsible for ensuring cards are packaged securely for transit.
We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service, particularly for larger submissions.
Pete's Stop cannot accept responsibility for items lost, damaged or delayed whilst in transit to us.
The customer remains responsible for the shipment until it has been successfully delivered and received by Pete's Stop.
7. Postage Contributions
Pete's Stop may offer a contribution towards postage costs on qualifying submissions.
Any postage contribution displayed by the calculator or referenced in correspondence is an estimate based on the information supplied by the customer.
The final postage contribution will be determined using the final approved trade value following inspection of the cards received.
Pete's Stop reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw postage contribution offers at any time.
8. Inspection & Processing
All submissions are subject to inspection upon arrival.
Inspection may include verification of:
- Card quantities
- Card categories
- Card condition
- Card authenticity
Pete's Stop aims to inspect and process submissions within 1–3 working days of receipt, although processing times may vary during busy periods.
9. Valuation Adjustments
Where discrepancies are identified between the submitted quote and the cards received, Pete's Stop may revise the valuation.
If a significant adjustment is required, Pete's Stop will contact the customer before payment is issued.
The customer may choose to:
- Accept the revised valuation, or
- Request the return of their cards
Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.
10. Payment
Once inspection has been completed and the final valuation has been agreed, payment will be issued via the customer's selected payment method.
Available payment methods may include:
- Bank Transfer
- PayPal
Pete's Stop aims to issue payment within 24 hours of final approval.
11. Ownership of Cards
Ownership of cards remains with the customer until the final valuation has been accepted and payment has been issued.
Once payment has been made, ownership of the cards transfers permanently to Pete's Stop.
12. Right to Refuse
Pete's Stop reserves the right to refuse, reject or return any submission at its sole discretion, including but not limited to cases involving:
- Counterfeit or altered cards
- Incorrectly declared submissions
- Excessively damaged cards
- Unsorted or poorly packaged submissions
- Fraudulent activity
- Abusive behaviour towards staff
13. Limitation of Liability
Pete's Stop shall not be liable for:
- Losses arising from postal delays or delivery failures
- Damage occurring during transit to Pete's Stop
- Indirect or consequential losses resulting from participation in the Bulk Trade-In service
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any statutory rights available to consumers under applicable UK law.
